Let’s say your company is one of the suppliers in a program, and another company is working on a different project in the program. One of their deliverables depends on a deliverable in your project, and they want to add this dependency. However, when a user searches to add dependencies, they only see items from projects that they have access to, and that other company may not have access to your project.
If you don’t want to give them access to your project, you can simply open the deliverable in question in your project and go to its settings
section. On top of this section, you can see the ID
of the deliverable. Copy the number and give it to the other company. When they want to add the dependency, instead of searching for a phrase in the name of item, they can enter this ID
and it will be done.
For privacy reasons, they won’t be able to see the name of your deliverable, but they can use it as a predecessor when they have its ID
.
