49. Adjusting actual dates

When you update specifications using the tracking section, or using the status diagram in its page, you can see some changes in the chart:

The faded bar is the planned schedule, and the dark bar shows the current schedule based on the actual values. When you update an item, its actual start and finish dates are set automatically based on the current date. In this example, we’ve moved from to do immediately to done, and therefore, the actual duration is very short. But don’t worry, you can always open the item and find the actual start and actual finish fields in the settings section and adjust them.

The automatic dates selected for those two is 2021-5 in our example. Let’s say the item was really started in 2021-5 and finished in 2021-5½. This is how the chart looks like after this update:

So, we started and finished the work sooner than expected.
